COVID UPDATE, MARCH 2021
New York State recently announced that performing arts venues will be allowed to reopen at 33% capacity, starting April 2. While this is a sign of better things to come, we cannot safely reopen the Lancaster Opera House just yet. With social distancing requirements still in effect, we would only be able to fit approximately 15% of our regular audience in the theater. Also, we must ensure a safe way for our performers to present the kinds of shows you are used to seeing.
We fully intend to reopen the Opera House when it is safe, and our plan is to produce the following shows from our 2019-2020 season:
- BLITHE SPIRIT
- STUART LITTLE
- JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR® DREAMCOAT
- THE MUSIC MAN
As soon as we can, we will announce new performance dates. Guests who already have tickets to these productions will be given PRIORITY SEATING before new sales become available to the public.
If you prefer more flexibility, you can exchange the value of your existing ticket orders for an LOH Gift Card.
We are grateful that so many of you have chosen to keep your ticket orders active. Your loyalty has helped us remain in business during this extremely difficult pandemic year. We thank you again for your patience and support.
